Wigan Athletic signs 12BET sponsorship deal

Wigan Athletic have announced the most lucrative shirt sponsorship in the club’s history after agreeing a two year deal with online betting brand 12BET.

The 12BET logo will feature on all Wigan Athletic replica shirts and training apparel, excluding juniors, for the next two seasons, with the option of a third season to follow.

The agreement also includes 12BET becoming Wigan Athletic official Betting and Gaming Partner, and maintaining a high profile brand presence in and around the DW Stadium.

Neil Ryan, Wigan Athletic Head of Marketing, Commercial and Retail, said: “We are really pleased to have agreed this major new commercial partnership.

“To have secured such a substantial fee from a high profile brand like 12BET demonstrates clearly where the club is going and we are looking forward to working with them to achieve our collective objectives over the next two years’.

Wigan Athletic Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson said: “The Barclays Premier League is a global brand and Wigan Athletic are now firmly established throughout the world as a part of it.
“As part of our strategy to grow our name internationally, we wanted to find a brand that was an ideal fit for the club to establish a longer term relationship and to agree a deal that commercially benefits both parties.
“Our agreement with 12BET fits those criteria and will give excellent value and exposure, reflecting the success that we have had in recent years.

“12BET is an exciting new partner for Wigan Athletic and we are delighted to be working with them.”
Rory Anderson, CEO of 12BET Europe said: “We are delighted to join forces with Wigan Athletic – a sponsorship that will give us great exposure both in the UK and globally, providing the perfect platform to promote our core proposition; in play football betting.

“We have always been impressed with the club’s ethos associated with loyalty, commitment and team spirit, values that sit closely with our own. We look forward to working closely with the club and its supporters to make this partnership a huge success”.

Why people bet Online?

Hi Guys,

First of all, I Love Soccer and am a crazy fan of MU. At the same time, I cant resist placing some bets while watching soccer (mostly EPL and Champions League). I have done a little research myself and it seems many of my friends are the same. Is this because placing some bets while watching soccer will make it more exciting and challenging? Or is it simply because I like gambling. I'm more towards of the former reason, 'cause I don't really gamble that much, but when there's match I can't resist.

So anybody out there feel the same way?

Oh btw, I'm using 12Bet as my bookmakers, and so far I'm happy with them. Sometimes I played in their Casino, gosh their dealers are darn hot, you should definitely check out their Hotties Calendar. So, bottom line, if you are a casual gamblers like me, and happen to be 12Bet members, PM me, I'd like to know more of what you guy thinks. Cheers

12Bet Customer Service

Website

The website has an Asian view and European view, with most readers likely to select the latter and get a more traditional layout as a result. It’s not the fastest loading site out there, although the available sports and markets are nicely listed in a left-hand menu and there is a different tab available for In-Play markets which is a good idea.

In the middle of the homepage is a rotating graphic which highlights the new customer bonus that’s available (in fact there are two different ones advertised which prove a little confusing). 12Bet are also at pains to highlight the online deals they have with football clubs rather than promoting the big events of the day in this space. There is also a Racebook section which includes UK racing.

Customer Service

It’s interesting that some social network sites are included in the ‘Contact Us’ section, although 12Bet have customer service specialists available in English, Thai and Chinese languages. There is live chat and email support available but not telephone. It doesn’t appear that customer service is 24/7.

Odds and Markets

There are twelve sports listed at the time of writing, which include soccer, horse racing, basketball and tennis. Indeed, the other sports only have a token offering and it’s soccer which has far more extensive pre-match and In-Play coverage than anything else. There are about 30 different soccer leagues covered and you can expect to find around 18 match markets for the big games such as Champions League and Premier League.

What’s probably the best thing about the whole 12Bet experience is that they do bet to competitive margins, which is something you would expect from a firm whose client base are based in Asia and demand tight margins when it comes to placing their bets. It’s well worth checking out their handicap lines and you will often get better soccer odds with 12Bet compared to a UK-based firm such as Ladbrokes or Coral.
